Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming Telugu-Hindi movie starring actors Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The sci-fi film produced by Vyjayanthi movies is made at a whopping budget of Rs. 600 Cr., and released in theaters on June 27, 2024 [Thursday]. Kalki 2898 AD had a trailer drop on Monday evening, and Kamal Haasan who plays an important role in the movie has stunned the internet with his makeover for a dystopian era character.

Kamal Haasan plays the main antagonist Kaali in Kalki 2898 AD, and in the the trailer he is seen ensuring a dying society's citizen to not fear, after he foresees the birth of Kalki - the last and tenth avatar of Hindu deity Vishnu. Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD follows the story of a pregnant Padma (Deepika Padukone) who is all set to give birth to lord Vishnu's Kalki avatar in the world's first and last city Kaashi. How Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan), bound to protect the birth of this Hindu God, Bhairava (Prabhas) a self-centered yet skilled bounty hunter with a cool AI vehicle named Bujji (voiced by Keerthy Suresh), and the villains who set out the bounty for Padma and her to-be-born, get entangled in a war, is what forms the rest of this story. 

Also starring Tamil actors Pasupathy, Shobana among others, Kalki 2898 AD is scheduled to release in Malayalam, Kannada languages as well. The movie has Santhosh Narayanan for music.
