UTV Motion Pictures, one of the major production house from Bollywood which forayed into the South Indian film space to produce and distribute films has been quite successful with their venture. UTV has produced successful movies like Deiva Thirumaga, Vettai, Vazhakku En 18/9 and Kalakalappu. UTV has a lineup of the most expected films slated for release in the coming months.

Mugamoodi

Mugamoodi starring Jiiva, Pooja Hegde, Narain and Nasser is the first of its kind superhero flick to be directed by Mysskin. The film shooting is progressing in a fast pace and the film is expected to be wrapped by the end of this month. The film is slated for a release in August and the audio will be released in July. The marketing activities for the film will begin from this month. Jiiva has done a special photo shoot in his specially designed Superhero costume. The team has kept the Superhero look of Jiiva a secret and the look is buzzed to be unveiled on a special occasion though no dates have been specified.

Thandavam

Thandavam, a slick action entertainer starring Vikram, Jagapathy Babu, Anushka, Amy Jackson directed by A.L. Vijay is currently being shot in London. The film is expected to be wrapped by 15^th June. Thandavam will hit the screens in September four weeks after Mugamoodi release. The marketing of the film will begin in July.

Thandavam will also be released in Telugu. The Telugu rights of the film has been acquired by Telugu Producer C. Kalyan for a big price. The film is also being simultaneously shot in Telugu.

The other most anticipated films like ‘Thuppakki’ and ‘Maatraan’ are also expected to hit the screens around the same time in August. It’s going to be a big treat for all the fans awaiting big releases!!!
