The storyline of Kara, starring Dhanush, has been revealed, offering a glimpse into an intense, survival-driven narrative.

Set in 1991 during the Gulf War between Iraq and the United States, the film unfolds in Ramanathapuram, a coastal town in Tamil Nadu, where a severe fuel shortage disrupts everyday life as oil depots burn across the world.

At the centre of the story is Karasamy, a man who has distanced himself from a dangerous past but is forced to return to it under extreme circumstances. Over the course of 16 days, he must risk everything to protect and guide people who depend on him through the crisis.

Blending elements of survival, loyalty, and redemption, Kara promises a tense and emotional journey set against a unique historical backdrop.
