The Good Friday box office has turned competitive, with Kaalidas 2 and Leader both advancing their release dates to April 3, following the postponement of Love Insurance Kompany.

Kaalidas 2, starring Bharath and Ajay Karthi, was earlier slated for April 10. Directed by Sri Senthil, the investigative thriller marks the return of the franchise and features a strong supporting cast including Prakash Raj and Kishore, with music by Sam CS.

On the other hand, Leader, headlined by Legend Saravanan, has been preponed from April 9. The action drama is directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar and has been certified U/A by the CBFC. Saravanan also produces the film under his Saravana Stores Productions banner.

The ensemble cast of Leader includes Shaam, Andrea Jeremiah, Santhosh Prathap, Payal Rajput, Lal, Prabaharan, Amirtha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh, Iyal, Aishwarya, Mariam George, Nisha, and Kathir.

The film has music composed by Ghibran, with cinematography by Venkatesh S and editing by Pradeep E Ragav.

Adding to the crowded slate, Carmeni Selvam, starring Samuthirakani and Gautham Vasudev Menon, is also scheduled to release on the same day. With multiple films locking April 3, the box office is set for a packed and competitive weekend.
