MovieCrow Box Office Report - June 26 to 28

There were as many as 4 Tamil releases last week, among which Indru Netru Naalai opened to positive reviews and good occupancy levels across multiplexes. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai during last weekend.

1. Indru Netru Naalai

Vishnu Vishal continues to impress with his choice of films, as this time travel based film has pleased one and all. The daring attempt by newcomer Ravi Kumar has paid off in style, and the movie is expected to become a runaway hit.

2. Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka

Adhi's YNK received fairly positive reviews, but the support from audience wasn't great. It will be crucial for this film to hold on to the screens this weekend, to make an impact at the box office.

3. Romeo Juliet

Jayam Ravi's Romeo Juliet, in spite of the mixed reviews, has turned to be a safe bet for the producers and distributors. The movie held on well in its third weekend, in spite of several new releases.

Other Movies

The adorable Kaaka Muttai has been getting overwhelming patronage for its feel good factor, while Vemal's Kaaval took a below average opening. Comedians-turned-heroes' Inimey Ippadithaan and Eli have disappointed the trade, while Madhumita's Moone Moonu Varthai sank without a trace.

Upcoming week's releases

Kamal Haasan's Papanasam will be hitting the screens on July 3 and Ulaganayagan will be hoping to have a commercial hit post Uttama Villain's mixed performance.
