MovieCrow Box Office Report - April 24 to 26

Following Furious 7, another Hollywood Film, Avengers: Age of Ultron took a stupendous opening across major multiplexes in Chennai last weekend. Among Tamil movies, Kanchana 2 continued its dream run in the second weekend too. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai during last weekend.

1. Kanchana 2

Kanchana 2's success has proved yet again that horror is the safest bet in Tamil cinema at present. And, Raghava Lawrence has safely played according to his strengths. Importantly, the movie has managed to satisfy audience across all age groups.

2. OK Kanmani

Although the movie got impressive footfalls across popular multiplexes, many screens in the suburbs and single screens had reportedly replaced the movie with the dubbed/English version of Avengers. However, the movie is expected to stay steady at the box office this week.

3. Komban and 4. Nanbenda

Karthi's Komban and Udhayanidhi's Nanbenda were running across a handful of screens with limited shows and occupancy levels.

Upcoming week's releases

Kamal Haasan's most awaited film, Uttama Villain, will be hitting the screens during the upcoming long weekend. Vai Raja Vai team has also decided to bravely release their film alongside Uttama Villain. An interesting week ahead for movie buffs!
