Best Tamil Lyricist of 2011

Tamil lyricists pursued different paths in 2011. When many of our lyricists explored local flavours and nativity, Madhan Karky took an outside-in perspective to lyric writing. Madhan Karky's lyrics were refreshingly new as "Kuviyamilla" became a cool word that came to prominence. Madhan Karky showed his versatility by penning the treasure hunt song(Nee Korinal) in 180 and also experimented with writing lyrics in Portugese and Chinese for 180 and 7aum Arivu. Overall, Madhan Karky is the best lyricist of 2011 for getting Tamilians all over the world get more interested in Tamil.
