Suriya 44 (tentative tile) is actor Suriya's next movie after Kanguva, and the film is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Latest on this film which is jointly produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment, and Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films, is that the Suriya 44 release date is April 10, 2025 (Thursday).

While an official announcement on the same is awaited, it is likely that Suriya 44 will hit theater screens for the Tamil New Year weekend. Recently actress Shriya Saran officially confirmed her special appearance in the the movie. Shriya who last appeared in Tamil in the Adhik Ravichandran directed Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (2017), said of her cameo in Suriya 44: 

"I've done a song in Suriya Sir's movie, and it's shot very beautifully. It's very classy. It will be nice. I think people would like it."

 

Suriya 44 also stars Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar among others. The film has Santhosh Narayanan for music, Shreyaas Krishna for cinematography, and Shafique Mohamed Ali for edits.
