The Greatest Of All Time starring Vijay in the lead released in theaters worldwide today, and as per the special permission granted by the Tamil Nadu government for the movie on September 5, 2024, The GOAT FDFS began at 9 AM in theaters across the state (Broadway Cinemas in Coimbatore alone had legal permit to begin the first show by 7:05 AM and actor Sivarthikeyan, lyricist Vivek were among the first celebrities to catch an early show of The GOAT there). 

The Greatest of All Time's executive producers Archana Kalpathi, and Aishwarya Kalpathi from AGS Entertainment were seen catching The GOAT's first show in Chennai. Actress Trisha who has been long rumoured to be making a cameo in the Matta song alongside Vijay, was also seen along with the Kalpathi sisters at The Greatest Of All Time 9 AM show.

Trisha has previously worked with director Venkat Prabhu on Mankatha (2011). Venkat Prabhu during the shooting of The Greatest Of All Time had flown to Azerbaijan, where Trisha was shooting with actor Ajith Kumar for their upcoming film Vidaa Muyarchi. 

Venkat Prabhu had said of this trip, "I showed the Matta song to Ajith Kumar when I met him at Azerbaijan. He had asked me to show a song from the film. Ajith got extremely happy after seeing the Matta song, and even called Trisha to show it to her. He showed me a song from Good Bad Ugly in return. They (Ajith and Vijay) have big mutual love and respect for each other."
