Andhagan The Pianist Trailer - First Impression Report

PUBLISHED DATE : 13/Jul/2024

Andhagan The Pianist starring actor Prashanth in the lead is a crime-thriller set to release on August 2, 2024. The movie which is a remake of Sriram Raghavan's Hindi film Andhadhun (2018), had its trailer release today. Despite the repetitive territory [Andhadhun has previously been remade in Telugu as Maestro (2021) and Malayalam as Brahmam (2021)], the one-minute has managed to keep the intrigue level intact.

A first impression report (FIR) of the Andhagan trailer follows:

A Fresh Looking Prashanth, Story

Actor Prashanth is making his comeback as a solo lead with Andhagan. Despite the years that has passed, the actor looks fresh onscreen, as does the story that he has chosen.

Prashanth-Simran nostalgia

A beloved onscreen couple from the late 90s-2K, actors Prashanth and Simran have teamed for the fifth time together in Andhagan. While the Prashanth, Simran duo have only played love interests or friends, Andhagan trailer unleashes a never-before-seen dynamic between the two. Safe to say Andhagan - The Pianist has a treat in store for this nostalgic couple's fans.

Interesting Subject

Prashanth's character calls himself 'The Pianist' in Andhagan trailer. Sriram Raghavan's Andhadhun tells the story of a blind piano player, who unwittingly becomes embroiled in the murder of a retired actor. Andhadhun is inspired from L'Accordeur (The Piano Tuner), a 2010 French short film about a blind pianist.

Rich Production Value

Andhagan The Pianist promises rich production value from what one sees in the Andhagan trailer. Be it the striking visuals, supporting actors (Priya Anand, Karthik, Samuthirakani, Yogibabu, Oorvasi , K.S.Ravikumar, Vanitha Vijaykumar, Leela Samson, late Manobala), or musical scores by Santhosh Naryanan, everything looks top-notch.

Andhagan The Pianist is directed by Tiagharajan, and bankrolled by Tiagharajan Production. The movie has Pattukottai Prabhakar for dialogues, Ravi Yadav for cinematography, Prabhu Deva for choreography, Sathish Suriya for editing, and Ramkumar for stunts.
