Vettaiyan is an upcoming Rajinikanth lead multi-starrer action drama, written and directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim (2021) fame. Lyca Productions, the banner behind this movie updated late Monday evening that Rajinikanth has wrapped filming his portions for the movie.

Touted to be based on a true story, Vettaiyan will see Rajinikanth play a Muslim police officer. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, among others and has Anirudh Ravichander for music.
