Retta Thala was revealed as the title of actor Arun Vijay's 36th movie on Tuesday, and the first look poster featured Arun Vijay in a dual avatar.  Written and directed by Kris Thirukumaran, Retta Thala is touted to be an action thriller, and the movie is a production venture of BTG Universal.

Siddhi Idnani, Tanya Ravichandran play female leads in Retta Thala, and Kannada actor Yogesh plays the villain, marking his Tamil debut. Retta Thala's technical crew includes Sam CS for music, Tijo Tomy for cinematography, Anthony for edits and Anbariv duo for stunts.
