Vettaiyan has been revealed as the title of Rajinikanth's upcoming movie with writer, director TJ Gnanavel, which so far went by Thalaivar 170 (working title). Vettaiyan title teaser reveals Rajini's first look from the movie, and the 73 year old Superstar is oozes swag in the video. The frame where he changes the lens of his eyewear from normal to shades has particularly left the fans swooning. 

A Lyca Productions venture, Vettaiyan also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan among others.

The technical crew of this film includes Anirudh Ravichander for music, S.R. Kathir for cinematography, K.Kadhir for production design, Sakthee Venkat Raj for art direction, Anbariv for action,  Anu Vardhan, Veera Kapoor, Dinesh Manoharan, Liji Preman, Selvam for costume design and Philomin Raj for edits. 

The Ident Labs has done the title animation of Vettaiyan, whereas Sync Cinema has taken care of sound design. Sony Music is Vettaiyan's official audio label. The rap in Vettaiyan birthday teaser (released marking Rajinikanth turning 73), is written and performed by Shuba.
