May 28 marked the annual World Hunger Day - a global event that has been observed since 2011 to bring awareness to the hunger crisis, and mitigate food wastage. Tamil-Indian actor Vijay's fan club Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iayakkham (TVMI) participated in distributing free meals across Tamil Nadu and pictures of an eventful Sunday was then posted to the outfit's official twitter handle. 

TVMI members were spotted giving out free meals in Salem, Vellore, Thanjavur, Thiruvallur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Namakkal, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Madurai, Dindigul, Tirupur districts of Tamil Nadu state.
