Producer Murali Ramasamy of Sri Thenandal Films banner has been re-elected as the president of Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council (TFPC) for the second time in a row. Thenandal Murali who famously produced Vijay starrer Mersal (2017) won the TFPC elections for the first time in November 2020, when he secured 557 votes against T Rajendar and producer PL Thenappan to become the president of the council. Now, in 2023 Thenandal Murali has once again won by a wide margin securing 615 votes. 

Producer GKM Tamil Kumaran of Lyca Productions has been voted as TFPC's vice-president, while producer 'Fivestar' Kathiresan has been voted as the council's secretary for the second consecutive time.
