Now we hear that the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights for Varisu has been bagged by 7 Screen Studio, producers of films like Cobra, Mahaan and Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
7 Screen Studio had previously distributed Vijay's Master and their Varisu deal is said to have been done on a MG (minimum guarantee) basis. Word also has it that Varisu will be released in association with Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. Makers are planning to release the movie on Jan 11. An official announcement on the same is awaited.

Touted to be an official adaptation of Largo Winch, Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally, who has previously officially remade The Intouchables with Karthi (Thozha/Oopiri). If the Largo Winch connection is true, then Varisu will revolve around a secret heir and his efforts to save an empire from going to the wrong hands.
