Actor Suriya's next film which tentatively goes by Suriya 42 went on floors this Sunday with an official pooja ceremony. Film's producers UV Creations and Studio Green are yet to officially acknowledge this event, though pixelated pooja stills are currently circulating online. Shooting of Suriya 42 began today at Chennai and it is expected to go on for the next 10 days. 

The movie is touted to be a PAN Indian period action drama and will be released in 10 languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. A motion poster of Suriya 42 is expected to be unveiled next week along with the pooja stills and project's official announcement. After Chennai, Suriya 42 will be filmed at Goa for 25 days beginning mid-September, 2022.

Bollywood actress Disha Patani is making her Tamil debut with Suriya 42. The film's technical crew includes Devi Sri Prasad for music, Vetri Palanisamy for cinematography, Milan for art direction, Supreme Sundar for stunts, Adi Narayana for writing and Madan Karky for lyrics.
