New releases in theaters were meek this time, except for Marvel's superhero outing. A quick look into how the movies this week have fared: 

• Panni Kutty (Tamil): Despite being backed by a banner like Lyca Productions, Panni Kutty starring Yogi Babu, Karunakaran among others released without much promotions. The story revolves around a piglet and the struggle of two men with contrast intentions around the piglet. The movie is a harmless rural comedy, with nothing great to offer. 

• Kaduva [Malayalam]: Set in the 90s, Kaduva has Prithviraj playing a local bigshot who gets into an ego-tiff with a politically powerful IG, played by Vivek Oberoi. The movie is a masala flick that passes off for its action. [Review Here]

• Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 Agni Pariksha (Hindi): In part 1, Vidyut Jamwal took down flesh traders in an alien land and saved his now wife from the racquet. In part 2 he is settled in Lucknow with an adopted daughter but she goes missing and he takes law into his own hands once again. Both movies are complete actioners but part 2 is comparatively better. • Happy Birthday [Telugu]: Set in a fictional world where civilians are allowed to carry firearms, this comedy film follows a bunch of characters who end up at a hotel to form an eccentric mix.  Starring Lavanya Tripathi, Naresh Agastya, Vennela Kishore among others, the movie has been deemed to have more style than substance but makes for a good time-pass watch. 

• Thor: Love And Thunder (English): Latest release in MCU's phase 4 of films, the movie sets off after Thor decides to go into retirement in Avengers: End Game. He faces a galactic killer who wishes the extinction of Gods this time, and the film is your regular Marvel dose of superhero with humour, visual grandeur, etc. A must watch for fans in theaters.
  

• Others: Yashika Anand, Ashok Kumar starrer romantic thriller Bestie (Tamil), Sonia Aggarwal starrer horror thriller Grandma (Tamil), horror thriller Padaippalan (Tamil), Kichi Kichi (Tamil) starring Yogi Babu,  romantic drama Naadhiru Dhinna (Tamil), action thriller Watch (Tamil) and another one titled Foreign Sarakku (Tamil) are the lesser known movies in theaters this week.
