Tamil star actor Vijay has turned 48 today and marking the occassion, the makers of his upcoming film Varisu (Vaarasudu in Telugu) have unveiled the second look poster of the movie as reported before [First look posters here]. Touted to be a family entertainer, Varisu is written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally who has films like Thozha (2016) and the National award winning Maharshi (Telugu - 2019) to his credit. The film hits theater screens in January, 2023 for Pongal/Sankranthi. 

Varisu is Vamshi's second film in Tamil after Thozha and it is produced by the Telugu production banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Vamshi Paidipally, Hari and Ashishor Solomon are credited for film's story, screenplay whereas Tamil lyricist Vivek has been credited for additional screenplay of the movie.

Varisu/Vaarasudu comes with an ensemble of Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Khushbu, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shamuganathan and Telugu actor Srikanth among others. 

The film's technical crew also includes SS Thaman for music, Karthik Palani for cinematography, Praveen KL for edits, lyricist Vivek for Tamil dialogues and Srinivas Chakravarthy for Telugu dialogues. PVP Cinemas is the co-producer of the movie's Telugu version i.e. Vaarasudu.
