Actor Arya will next be seen in an OTT horror series titled The Village which is based on an eponymous graphic novel, authored by Shamik Dasgupta and illustrated by Gaurav Shrivastav and Prasad Patnaik. The Village is the first Indian series to be based on a graphic novel and its first look with Arya in it was unveiled by the series' host Amazon Prime Video.

The plot is set around a  young doctor named Gautham Subramanian looses his wife and daughter at what is believed to be a cursed/haunted village, destroyed years ago by the Tsunami. He finds unlikely assistance in form of three elderly men - a near-by village head, a local mechanic/blacksmith and a drunk/bar owner, who help him survive the blood-thirsty ghosts and retrieve his family.

The Village is produced by Studio Shakthi and also stars Divya Pillai, Aazhiya, Aadukalam Naren, Thalaivasal Vijay, Muthukumar, Kalai Raani, George M, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pooja, Jayaprakash, P.N. Sunny among others. Milind Rau servers as the writer, director and creative producer of this series, which is co-written by Deepthi Govindarajan, and Deeraj Vaidy.
