While actor Vijay has already begun work on his next project (Thalapathy 66) after Beast, seems like it will be a while before Beast director Nelson Dilipkumar moves on to his next. Thalaivar 169 which will be Nelson's fourth film as director, stars Rajinikanth in the lead and has Anirudh for music. The director recently confirmed in a media interview that the film will begin only after July, 2022.

MovieCrow hears Thalaivar 169 is eyeing the month of August to go on floors. Apparently the pre-production work requires quite some time and Rajini will be utilizing this period to visit USA.

Thalaivar 169 is Sun Pictures' second project with director Nelson Dilipkumar and second-in-a-row with Anirudh after Beast. Nelson has confirmed that no cast or crew has been finalized yet for the film.
