Two big budget entertainers are headed for a box-office clash this Tamil New Year and while KGF: Chapter 2 has been confirmed to release on April 14, 2022 (Thursday), an official announcement on Beast's release date is yet to be made. At this time, it is being highly buzzed that Beast will most likely avoid the opening day clash with KGF 2 and instead hit theater screens a day early on April 13, 2022 (Wednesday).

Beast directed by Nelson Dilipkumar stars Vijay in the lead and is touted to be an action thriller based on gold smuggling. KGF: Chapter 2 is a sequel to Kannada actor Yash's highly successful gold-mine period drama KGF: Chapter 1, and it is directed by Sandalwood's Prashanth Neel.
