With the new mandatory vaccination rule in effect for Tamil Nadu theaters and producer Suresh Kamatchi expressing displeasure on Twitter, it has not been a good day for Silambarasan TR fans. However they might have something to look forward to, for word is that Simbu plans on making appearances during the initial few shows of Maanaadu. 

While this has not been officially announced, this way of promoting a movie is not unusual in Kollywood and actors have often graced the theater audience with their presence during screenings. 

Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu is a time-loop political thriller and also stars SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Y G Mahendran, SA Chandrasekhar among others. The film comes out in theaters on November 25, 2021.
