Actor Suriya shared the teaser of his upcoming movie Jai Bhim with the caption, “I strongly believe true stories can bring changes in the society…#JaiBhim will be an intense one and is close to my heart” (sic). Jai Bhim directed by TJ Gnanavel, and produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment follows the film follows lawyer Chandru's ardent mission of saving a tribal family from falling prey to caste-oppression. 

Jai Bhim is inspired by real-life events that happened in the 90s and it releases directly on Amazon Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu on November 2, 2021. The movie also stars Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Rajisha Vijayan, Manikandan, Lijo mol Jose among others and has music by Sean Roldan.
