One of actor Dhanush's upcoming movies which has music by A.R. Rahman is gearing up for a direct OTT release even though theaters across the country have opened up operations. Atrangi Re, which is an upcoming Bollywood movie starring Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan is planning a direct digital release on the Netflix OTT platform. 

Previously Akshay Kumar had confirmed that the Anand L Rai directorial will be releasing digitally instead of in theaters. Atrangi Re would be both Akshay and Dhanush’s second direct OTT release after Laxmi and Jagame Thandhiram respectively.
