It has been an exciting week of new movie releases in India albeit on OTT platforms. Across languages an interest was invoked through content-driven movies and here's a quick look at these films:

• Vaazhl (Tamil): A travel-based drama from the director of highly acclaimed Aruvi, Vaazhl wooed the Tamil cine viewers despite being headlined by completely new faces. Besides the story, visuals of the movie have added to the audience experience and it is currently streaming on Sony Liv. (Vaazhl Review Here)

• Toofan (Hindi): Acclaimed Bollywood director Rakesh Omprakash Mehra who gave Farhan his hit film Bhaag Milka Bhaag has reunited with the actor for yet another sports drama. A rags-to-riches story with boxing and Hindu-Muslim angle is what the movie is about and it has done decent with its audience. The movie is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

• Malik (Malayalam): This Fahad Faasil starrer is more of a crime saga and is a highlight on how the system manipulates people and their land for their own benefit. The story is told in a  in a non-linear fashion and Fahadh and his co-stars' have been highly praised for their character portrayals. Malik is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
