Ajith is currently shooting for Valimai at Hyderabad and according to reports the team will be camped there till February end this year. Director H. Vinoth is also planning on shooting action sequences in New Delhi or Rajasthan as the ongoing pandemic prevents them from travelling abroad.

Buzz all day about Valimai has been the new cast addition and team Valimai has also confirmed that comedian Pugazh of the TV show Cooku with Comali fame is very much a part of their movie.

Valimai produced by Boney Kapoor plans to release on April 29, 2021 before Ajith's birthday and has the actor playing an IPS officer named Eeshwaramoothy. The film has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music.
