Actor Mohanlal's Malayalam movie Lucifer is being remade in Telugu starring Chiranjeevi in the lead and it has now been confirmed that Kollywood's Mohan Raja, known for helming Tamil films like Thani Oruvan, Velaikkaran and the Vijay starrer Velayudham will be joining the project as its director.

The project which is tentatively titled Chiru 153 will be Mohan Raja's second directorial in Telugu after his 2001 debut Hanuman Junction.
