Thalaivaa Effect : Vishal's Madha Gaja Raja distances from MGR

The title of director Sundar C. and Vishal's Madha Gaja Raja had created some curiosity due to its well publicized acronym of "MGR". In Telugu where Vishal enjoys moderate recognition, the team had opted for the title of "Nataraja Thaney Raja" with equivalent acronym of NTR.

Due to the huge political headwinds faced by Vijay's Thalaivaa, Director Sundar C has decided to play it safe and strictly requested the media and fans NOT to use the acronym MGR while referring to Madha Gaja Raja. Due to Kushbu's active role in politics and sensitive political environment, Director Sundar C has decided to drop MGR from all promotional materials and from casual references.

After a string of flops, Vishal is pinning all his hopes on Madha Gaja Raja to claw his way back. Any back lash due to the title will wipe out Vishal's chances of a comeback through MGR... Sorry, Madha Gaja Raja.
