Aruvaa, actor Suriya's film with director Hari was supposed to begin filming in April this year but Coronavirus COVID-19 played spoilsport. Since the lockdown has extended over 3 months in Tamil Nadu and film shootings are yet to resume in the state, it is being suggested now that the Aruvaa's filming might altogether be postponed to 2021.

Reportedly, Suriya might not begin Aruvaa before January, 2021 keeping in mind the safety of the cast and crew. However, nothing official has been announced as yet. Aruvaa is produced by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green and has Imman for music. Raashi Khanna plays female lead in this movie which is Hari's sixth project with Suriya.
