The unfortunate demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput had many of his fans trending #DilBecharaOnBigScreen, as they wished to see their favourite actor in theaters one last time. Even Dil Bechara's music composer A.R. Rahman was found supporting the plea on this twitter page.

However, Disney+Hotstar which already had the OTT rights of this Fox Star produced movie and was planning to debut the film on its premium site, has now set a release date for the film. Dil Bechara will premiere on July 24, 2020 but will be available for streaming to both the subscribers and non-subscribers.

An official remake of Fault in Our Stars, Dil Bechara also stars Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan and is directed by Mukesh Chhabra, who was the casting director of Sushant's Bollywood debut Kai Po Che.
