After the buzz that director Mysskin will no longer be directing an ongoing project of his, Thupparivaalan 2 it was confirmed by the film's lead Vishal that he is taking over as the director of the movie. While it remains unknown what exactly caused the rift, reports suggest that Mysskin asked for an addition budget of Rs. 40 Crore and despite spending a month and a half in London, he did not procure proper permission for shooting there. 

This is said to have cost Rs. 12 crore for the London schedule of Thupparivaalan 2, making Vishal upset who is also the producer of the film. While Mysskin has not come out with his stance on the accusations, Vishal on the other hand has not denied any of them to be false.
