Bollywood news portals have been buzzing with reports of Shah Rukh Khan's next project and there seems to be a toss up between SRK's long speculated collaboration with Tamil director Atlee Kumar and the remake of a South Korean movie titled Hard Day. 

Reports quote sources in the know-how as saying, "Atlee is currently working with the creative writing team of Dharma Productions to develop the screenplay. Atlee, Karan Johar (producer of Dharma) and SRK want to ensure that the script has trademark stamp of the director and at the same time, has the pan-India appeal." while also adding,

"The writing process will take some time. Shah Rukh Khan meanwhile will finish a film or two and only then he will be able to act in Atlee’s next. So it can be said that the film won’t take off before mid-2021".

While it remains to be seen what kind of films SRK will be seen in before mid-2021, latest development is that he has bought the Indian remake right of the South Korean hit action thriller Hard Day and has already asked his team to begin pre-production for the same.
