While Vijay is currently busy with the shooting of Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, speculations are rife that Sun Pictures will be bankrolling the actor's 65th film (Thalapathy 65 / Vijay 65). Multiple reports state that Vijay will be beginning his 65th film in the Summer of 2020 and he will be reuniting with the banner which produced his 2018 outing Sarkar. 

The latest buzz is that the speculated Vijay - Sun pictures project will be directed by director Pandiraj, who recently gave a super hit for sun pictures with Namma Veetu Pillai. 

It is worth mentioning here that earlier director A.R. Murugadoss and Maghiz Thirumeni's names were also being associated with Thalapathy 65.
