Superstar enjoys a huge fan following across the globe and with his birthday round the corner, the celebrations have already begun in TamilNadu. Rajinikanth fans from Pudukkottai district celebrated his birthday which falls on December 12 in a unique way by distributing sweets and big onions to general public in Keeramangalam area.
With the sudden and unusual surge in the price of onions which has hit the people hard, this move by the fans has received a warm welcome by the people who were more happy to get the onions than the sweets. Prior to distribution the fans had performed 'archana' in the name of Rajinikanth in an ancient Shiva temple in the locality.
Superstar who turns 70 on December 12, requested his fans to not celebrate his birthday in a grand way and instead urged them to indulge in some social work. At Darbar audio launch, he also confirmed that he won’t be in town on his birthday.
Rajinikanth is awaiting the release of 'Darbar' directed by AR Murugadoss which is hitting the screens for Pongal 2020. He will be next teaming up with director Siva for a rural entertainer to be bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
