A key update has emerged regarding the much-anticipated Vikram–Anand Shankar project, with sources indicating a delay in its official announcement due to the music director not being finalised yet.

It is learnt that Harris Jayaraj was in consideration for the film, and the production house was keen on bringing him on board. However, the deal is said to have stalled not due to remuneration concerns, but because of low valuation quotes from audio labels, making producers hesitant to proceed.

Sources further suggest that director Anand Shankar is inclined towards collaborating with GV Prakash, while the makers are also said to be considering Santhosh Narayanan as an option.

The film, backed by Sathya Jyothi Films, recently completed a test shoot. An official announcement was initially planned around Vikram’s birthday on April 17, but has reportedly been pushed due to the ongoing discussions around the film’s music composer.

As of now, the project remains in the finalisation stage, with clarity expected once the technical team is locked.
