Actor and director Raghava Lawrence has addressed swirling speculation about his entry into politics, hinting at a major announcement on June 11 at 9:30 AM. Without confirming or denying the rumours, he wrote on X that news of him contesting the Trichy East by-election had been circulating widely and that the speculation had grown to a point where he felt compelled to respond.

"With my mother's blessings, an important decision regarding my life will be announced on 11th," he wrote, adding that he is currently busy shooting for Benz with his schedule wrapping on June 10.
