Actor Nithya Menen could soon be adding filmmaker to her list of accomplishments. Director Pandiraaj, who worked with her in last year's Thalaivan Thalaivii, has revealed that the actor is currently writing scripts with plans to make her directorial debut.

Speaking in a recent interview, Pandiraaj said that Nithya recently got in touch with him and shared updates about her future plans. According to the filmmaker, she has begun writing and is actively exploring the possibility of directing her own film.

The director was all praise for Nithya's storytelling abilities, recalling how he often discussed story ideas with her during the making of Thalaivan Thalaivii. He revealed that she had narrated a couple of story ideas to him and described her as a talented writer who possesses the potential to excel behind the camera as well.

"She isn't just a good actor. She will soon become a great writer and director," Pandiraaj said.

The development comes months after Nithya Menen launched her own production banner, Keyuri Production, signalling her growing interest in filmmaking beyond acting.

On the acting front, Nithya was last seen in Thalaivan Thalaivii alongside Vijay Sethupathi and also featured in Dhanush's Idli Kadai. Meanwhile, Pandiraaj's latest directorial venture, Parimala and Co, is currently running in theatres.
