Rajinikanth's films Darbar which is ready for release and Thalaivar 168 which is yet to begin are neck and neck on updates right now, sending the Rajini fan-base into a frenzy. Amidst the tremendous response to Darbar first single Chumma Kizhi, word in the grapevine is that a second song is gearing up to be unveiled on December 4, 2019. However an official confirmation on the same is awaited.

Also Thalaivar 168 to which names like Imman (music) and Soori (comedian) have been officially added, has a latest rumoured associate and it is none other than actress Meena, who has shared screen-space with Rajini since she was a child-artist. It is worth mentioning here that actress Khushboo has also been deemed a front-runner for the lead-pair role and it is to be seen which of these actresses will finally come on-board.
