Sivakarthikeyan foregoes his salary for Ravikumar's sci-fi film

SivaKarthikeyan who tasted box office success this year with his latest outing 'Namma Veetu Pillai' (NVP) directed by Pandiraj is eagerly awaiting the release of 'Hero' which is set to hit the screens on December 20, 2019. Siva essays the role of a superhero in the film directed by PS Mithran

In a recent interview to Vikatan, Sivakarthikeyan opened up about the status of 'Indru Netru Naalai' fame Ravikumar's sci-fi film. While SK 14 (tentative title) went on floors last year, the production was paused in between due to financial issues. The film is said to be the most expensive film ever made in Sivakarthikeyan’s career as it involves a lot of CG works.

The 'Velaikaran' actor has said that slowly the issues are getting sorted out. Being a big budget film, the actor is bent on completing the film without any compromises in the film's quality and has been putting all efforts to ensure a smooth release for the film despite it being embroiled in financial turmoil.

On his part, the actor has decided to forego his salary for the film's completion.  About 75% of the film has been wrapped and the film shooting is likely to resume again in January 2020. AR. Rahman who is scoring the music has recorded three songs.
