In his debut into the movies, cricketer Irfan Pathan will be donning a small but important role in Vikram's 58th movie (tentatively known as Chiyaan 58) and today the left-arm bowler took to Twitter to update about his shooting schedule, in Tamil. Pathan also threw a famous Vijay punch dialogue to his mix and wrote, "Greetings (Vanakkam) All.. Thanks to all Tamilians for helping my first step in acting.. First schedule completed successfully.. I'm waiting to see everyone again.."

Chiyaan 58 is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony, Imaikkaa Nodigal fame and plans to release by April, 2020. Produced by Seven Screen Studios and Viacom 18, the movie is touted to be a suspense action thriller and has A.R. Rahman for music.
