Director Lokesh Kanagaraj whose recent release Kaithi garnered critical and commercial acclaim is on a roll right now, for besides directing Vijay in only his third film (Thalapathy 64), the talented young director is also being associated with the big names of the industry.

On one hand there are talks of Lokesh reuniting with Karthi for Kaithi 2 and collaborating with Suriya on a super-hero subject and on the other it is being said that the director has been signed by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International.

Lokesh Kanagaraj presumably will be directing a movie for Kamal's production house but whether or not it will star Haasan himself is yet to be cleared. It is worth mentioning here that Kamal might be focusing a bit more on politics next year, given the 2021 Tamil Nadu state elections and his recent announcement that Marudhanayagam will be revived with another actor makes us wonder if he will be acting again (post Indian 2) in the near future.
