'Kaithi' which opened to a lacklustre start on its opening day has slowly but steadily picked up pace with each passing day. Karthi's performance and Lokesh Kanagaraj's story-telling and direction have been unanimously praised by the audience and critics. The film has been garnering a good number of footfalls from Day 3 and more shows / screens are getting added due to demand.

In USA, the film has collected $23059 from 51 screens on Day 5 overtaking Bigil which collected $22350 from 103 screens. Kaithi has minted $198690 (Rs. 1.41 cr) in 5 days. Kaithi despite running in the half the number of screens compared to Bigil has managed to surpass the latter's collection, thanks to the word-of-mouth which has helped boost the film's collection to a large extent. However Bigil has crossed $1 Million mark in US on day 5. 

The film has grossed Rs. 25+ cr at the domestic box office in 4 days. The film has entered profit zone in Kerala, Karnataka, Rest of India and USA.
