96 Composer Govind Vasantha breaks his silence on Ilayaraja Controversy!

This bygone weekend, witnessed veteran composer Ilayaraja making a controversial statement about Tamil film composers who use his music if the film was set in 80s or 90s. Though his statement seemed intended towards all the musicians who do that, his statement was viewed as a direct attack on 96 film's composer Govind Vasantha, since the film's name was given as a reference during the conversation.
Initially a member from team 96 clarified that they team had sought prior permission while using Ilayaraja's music in their film and reiterated that they had paid due royalties as well. Now, Vasantha who has SeethakaathiSolo and Asuravadham among 10 other films to his credit, has broken his silence on the topic and put out a statement in a language he knows best - music.

Govind Vasantha who was once in-charge of violin in the popular band Thaikkudam Bridge has paid a tribute to Ilayaraja, with a score from Rajinikanth - Mani Ratnam's film Thalapathi. He captioned the video 'Forever Fan' and people are might impressed with his gesture.
