The makers of Suriya’s upcoming film Karuppu have officially revealed its Telugu title as Veerabhadrudu, confirming the name under which the film will release in Telugu-speaking regions.
Breaking away from the recent trend of retaining original titles across languages, the team has opted for a localized title aimed at better connecting with audiences in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Veerabhadrudu is expected to enhance the film’s mass appeal in the region.
Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu is a rural action drama featuring Suriya in a mass-oriented role as a lawyer named Saravanan, who stands up for the common people. The film also marks the reunion of Suriya and Trisha after several years.
Backed by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film blends action and emotion, with its rural backdrop and commercial elements generating strong pre-release buzz. The Telugu title announcement further adds to the anticipation surrounding the film’s pan-regional reach.
