Vijay Sethupathi's 96 movie which released on October 4 is continuing its dream run at the Box Office in its second week. The film has topped the Box Office for the second consecutive weekend and has turned profitable for all the distributors. The romantic drama which received overwhelming response from the audience has turned out to be a cult classic in Tamil cinema. 

Vijay Sethupathi's film has been declared 'Super Hit' by the trade. Due to huge demand, more screens were added in its second week and the film was shifted to main screens in multiplexes with increased shows. Trisha starrer has collected Rs. 23 cr in Tamil Nadu (TN) for 11 days and Rs. 4.21 cr in Chennai City. It leads the Chennai Box Office for the second week in a row.

96 is Vijay Sethupathi's first solo hit in Kerala

The film has done good business in other states and overseas market as well. The film which earned profit in its opening weekend in Kerala has been declared a blockbuster in the state at the end of 11 days. 96 which released in 80 screens in its first week was increased to 106 screens in its second week. With the film's theatrical rights sold for Rs. 50 lakhs, Vijay Sethupathi starrer has minted Rs. 5.37 cr and declared a 'blockbuster'. It also marks the actors first solo hit in the state as well.

Vijay Sethupathi is on cloud nine following back to back success with Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and 96 movie.
