One of the more popular films in the 90s was the Priyadarshan directed Siraichalai which had Malayalam actor Mohanlal, Tamil actor Prabhu and the late Bollywood villain Amrish Puri in it. Now, the team may be getting together yet again after all these years for news has it that Prabhu has been signed to play an important role in Mohanlal's upcoming film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, which is also directed by Priyadarshan.

Since Siraichalai was equally popular with the Malayalam speaking folks as well (as Kaalapani), movie-goers of the 90s have been seen getting nostalgic on the internet, though an official announcement has still not been made. Interestingly, Marakkar: Aeabikadalinte Simham is also a periodic film like Siraichaalai and will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor, Santhosh T Kuruvilla and CJ Roy on a huge budget. Art director Sabu Cyril will be seen working on the extensive production design of this film.
