Violence has reached its peak with the brutal killing of innocent people during the Sterlite Protest in Tamil Nadu yesterday. At least 11 people died (including a family member of Kollywood's own Stunt Silva) and several others were injured after a protest against Sterlite Copper, a unit of Vedanta Limited, turned violent and police resorted to firing on protesters in Tamil Nadu's Tuticorin on Tuesday.

 

This shocking and grieving incident has caused a stir in Tamil Nadu. The inhumane act has been severely condemned by people from all quarters. The government has been severely criticised for the death of these innocent people. 

 

Kollywood celebs and social media exploded with shock and sadness over the horrific news. Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vishal, GV Prakash, Dhanush, Arvind Swami and Siddharth had strongly condemned the act and slammed the TN Government for this disheartening act.
