Mahanati, a biopic on the legendary actress Savitri, hit the screens on May 9 worldwide. The film received rave reviews from all quarters and has been doing spectacular business at the Box Office. The lead actors Keerthy Suresh and Dulquer Salman who portrayed the characters of Savitri and Gemini Ganesan respectively have won accolades for their performance from audience and critics alike.

The film has crossed $1.5 million mark at the US Box Office. According to leading trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, the film crossed $1.2 million mark on Saturday. He had tweeted, "Telugu film #Mahanati is making a SPLASH in key international markets... Crosses million dollar mark in USA ... AUSTRALIA is holding STRONG... UK [considered a ‘slow market’ for most Indian films] is GOOD... NZ is ROCK-STEADY..."

The film is said to have crossed the $1.5 million by Sunday. The production house Vyjayanthi Films has released a poster on their Twitter page for crossing $1.5 million mark at US Box Office.

Mahanati is directed by Nag Ashwin. Samantha and Vijay Devarakonda play pivotal roles in the film. The tamil version Nadigaiyar Thilagam hit the screens on May 11, 2018.
