BJP leader H.Raja is known to hold no-bars in whatever statements he chooses to make and the people who have born the brunt of his latest fury are Tamil actor Arya and the late leader cum social reformer E.V. Ramasamy (aslo known as Thanthai Periyar). Though the two have been lashed out at by Raja for totally different reasons altogether, we couldn't help but notice the irony in Raja's condescension.
On one hand, in a now-deleted social media post, H. Raja questions the connection between "communists" and India and tags Dravidian leader Periyar (known for his principles against eradication of caste) as a caste-fanatic. He wrote :
"Who is Lenin and what is the connection between Lenin and India? What connection has India with Communists? Lenin's statue has been removed in Tripura. Today it is Lenin's statue in Tripura, tomorrow it will be the statue of caste fanatic EVR Ramasamy,"
On the other, he is seen taking a dig at actor Arya and his currently running show Enga Veetu Mapillai and labels the act of questioning the prospective brides on their religious choices as 'shameless' and 'despicable'. Very well aware that this could lead to a communal parallel being drawn, Raja goes ahead and states it himself in the tweet
If we ask this then we are dubbed communal. This is shameless and despicable. https://t.co/FArr7BOgod

Looks like the BJP national secretary seems to have developed a penchant for creating a storm with controversial statements and receiving back-lash from the people of Tamil Nadu.
